2/ The allegation is: President Hernández (JOH) created the ZEDEs to have someplace safe to hide if he lost power 🏛️
— Alex Ugorji (@AlexUgorji_) August 13, 2025
This is crazy 🤪 because ZEDEs predate JOH's presidency, when JOH lost power, he chose not to hide in ZEDEs despite facing US extradition, and he was extradited✈️ pic.twitter.com/Sa30O3InDn
4/ It all started when someone came to Morazan claiming that their GPS said a missing car was inside Morazan ZEDE 🌆

Being big supporters of the rule of law, Morazán's security investigated the matter 🔎
Quickly they found the car, and called the alleged owner ☎️ pic.twitter.com/K8j7FkuRLy
6/ Eventually, the national police who had been called arrived 👮

After investigating the situation they saw two options: he voluntarily hand over the car or have the police take action with all the headache that follows 🚗
The guy chose the latter and the problem was solved!✅ pic.twitter.com/AW8yZ7EPsh
8/8 So next type you read some misinformation about the ZEDEs being created to help or harbor criminals, send them this thread and let them know that this myth has already been busted! 🔨 pic.twitter.com/s1LcsUhJtu

I am Joyce Brand, Governance Architect.
My work documents and maps the structural conditions that enable voluntary, contractual governance to deliver durable prosperity—observed in real zones like Ciudad Morazán, where aligned incentives have produced security, entrepreneurship, and community flourishing despite political hostility.
Just as personal resilience emerges from deliberate, aligned choices (reversing long-term health challenges through disciplined action), jurisdictional antifragility arises from substrates designed to withstand pressure.
These Insights chronicle observations, analyses, and lessons from the frontier of consent-based systems.
